We hope you are enjoying the record-breaking heat, and perhaps also enjoyed sipping some chilled Fairmile during this year’s Henley Regatta at Remenham Farm or the Henley Festival in the Patrons’ Lounge - the first time we have been official wine sponsors to both events during the same year.
Our vines are certainly enjoying the heat, and it looks as if we’ll enjoy another early harvest as last year. Some customers worry unnecessarily about our vines during hot weather, but don’t forget vines normally grow in hotter climates than ours. We never need to water them as they put down deep roots and so far, have always managed to find water in our wonderful chalk substrate which acts like a sponge for retaining rain water.
