Another international award winner
Our last blog reported on the introduction of our 2018 Blanc de Noirs (made only from black-skinned pinot noir and pinot meunier grapes). We are thrilled to announce that it has already won an international award – a gold medal from Glass of Bubbly’s 2025 blind tasting competition - ranking it amongst the best in the world. The judges were so impressed by the rich flavours of this sparkling wine that they placed it in their “Winter Warmer” category – so perfect for your festive season!
Harvest report 2025
A mild Spring, free from frost on our slopes and four heatwaves throughout the Summer gave Fairmile Vineyard its earliest harvest. Whereas we normally expect to harvest in October, everything this year was picked by 19th September. Needless to say, our winemaker was delighted with the quality and flavour of the crop! You won’t be able to enjoy drinking it for a while, as it takes several years to turn grapes into quality sparkling wine by the traditional method – but don’t worry, we have plenty of other award-winning wines in the pipeline.
